Splitbreeze

Terms & Privacy

Splitbreeze is a free tool for splitting trip expenses, run by one person. This page explains what data it keeps and the terms you accept by using it — in plain language, because that’s the whole point of the app.

Who runs this

Splitbreeze is operated by Stefan Ratchev, an individual based in Bulgaria (EU). For anything on this page — questions, feedback, data requests — email hello@splitbreeze.com.

What Splitbreeze stores

There are no accounts. No emails, passwords, or profiles are collected. What the app keeps is exactly what you and your group type in:

Analytics are cookieless and aggregate (Vercel Analytics): they count visits, they can’t identify you. There is no advertising, no cross-site tracking, and no consent banner because there’s nothing to consent to.

Who touches the data

Splitbreeze runs on rented infrastructure, all processing trip data on the operator’s behalf:

Nothing is sold or shared beyond that.

The link is the key

A trip is reachable by anyone who has its link — that’s the design, since there are no accounts. Links are long and unguessable, but anyone you share one with can see and change everything on that trip, and can share it onward. Bill photos live at similarly unguessable links. Keep trip links within your group, and don’t put anything in a trip you wouldn’t want the whole group to see.

Deleting your data

Data is kept until you ask for it to go. To have a trip and its photos permanently deleted — or to exercise any other GDPR right (access, correction, erasure) — email hello@splitbreeze.com with the trip link. Deletion is handled manually, usually within a few days. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority; in Bulgaria that’s the CPDP.

Terms of use

If you’ve read this far: the feedback address is the same one. Tell me what’s broken or what you’d love — hello@splitbreeze.com.
